Work Visas
Subclass 482 - Skills In Demand This visa allows skilled workers travel to Australia to work in their nominated occupation for their approved sponsor for up to four years.To be eligible you must be sponsored by an approved business and have the required skills to fill a position nominated by an approved business. Subclass 186- Employer Nomination Scheme These are permanent visas for skilled people who are nominated by an approved Australian employer and can be accessed as a transition from a subclass 482 or as a direct entry. To be eligible for this visa you must be nominated by an approved Australian employer, be under 45 years of age, meet the skills, qualifications and English language requirements. Subclass 189 - General Skilled Migration This visa is for points-tested skilled workers who are not sponsored by an employer or family member or nominated by a state or territory government. It allows you to live and work in Australia as a permanent resident. To be eligible for this visa, you must nominate an occupation that is on the relevant skilled occupation list, lodge an expression of interest outlining how you acheive the points required and receive a letter of invitation to apply from the Federal Government. Subclass 190 - State or Territory Nominated This visa allows points-tested skilled workers to travel to Australia who are invited by a state or territory government. To be eligible for this visa, you must nominate an occupation that is on the relevant skilled occupation list, lodge an expression of interest outlining how you acheive the points required and be nominated by a relevant state or territory government.
Subclass 494 - Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional)This is a provisional visa for skilled people who are nominated by an approved Australian employer located in a designated regional area. The 491 visa is only for regional area employers. To be eligible for this visa you must be nominated by an approved Australian employer, be under 45 years of age, meet the skills, qualifications and English language requirements. Subclass 491 - Skilled Work Regional (Provisional)This visa is for points-tested skilled workers who are nominated by a state or territory government agency or sponsored by an eligible relative. It allows you to live and work in regional Australia for up to five years. To be eligible you must nominate an occupation that is on the relevant state or territory skilled occupation list, have a suitable skills assessment, be under 45 years of age, acheived an appropriate score in the points test. Subclass 191 - Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional)This visa is for people who have lived and worked in a designated regional area on an eligible provisional visa. It allows you to live and work in Australia as a permanent resident. To be eligible for this visa, you must hold an eligible visa and have lived for at least three years in a designated regional area. You must have a taxable income at or above the specific income threshold for the three years. All applicants must have complied with the conditions of the previous visa. This visa does not commence until 16 November 2022.
